Valley Counseling Center offers clinical services designed to address the diverse needs of individuals within our community. Our clinical interventions include family and individual therapy. We work with individuals across the lifespan, starting at the age of four. We strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
Services do not occur in a primary care or a subspecialty setting.

Balance is central to my work. I use a body-mind-environment approach to help clients seek balance and well-being in their lives. In turn, they bring more balance to their relationships and the environments in which they find themselves. With over 20 years of experience, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and systems theory are the foundation of my clinical work, though there are numerous paths to improved health and well-being, and I have used and explored many approaches to help people get to where they want to be. CBT is used to assess how your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions interact with and influence one another. Mindfulness brings more attention and intention to this process, promoting an awareness of how your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions impact you and others. We’ll also look at the systems around you, how they impact you, and how to manage yourself within them in the healthiest way possible.

Christy is a graduate intern in Marriage and Family Therapy at Regent University with over three years of experience working in the mental health field. As part of her graduate training, Christy is working as a counseling intern under licensed supervision, gaining hands-on experience in individual, couple, and family therapy through her internship at the Valley Counseling Center.
Christy’s therapeutic approach is based in attachment and family systems. She strives to create a warm, welcoming environment in which individuals, couples, and families can feel safe to explore, grow, heal, and reunite with those who matter most.
